The Common is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Grandin, steps from the Legislature and Edmonton's scenic river valley. Our space includes 2 venues; the Common (main floor) and the Common Ground (located below). Both offer seated and standing options for up to 130 people and are available for ceremonies and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners and bachelor/ bachelorette parties. Voted runner up for "Best New Restaurant" in Avenue Magazine, the Common offers classic dishes with an uncommon twist. Chef Stuart Whyte has prepared our menu selections with love, using local ingredients whenever possible.
Drink with us
Cheers! The Common offers a vast selection of local and Canadian craft beer, wines, cocktails and spirits with flat rate pricing of $9 per selected drink. Optional custom cocktails and special order beer and wine also offered. Cash, tickets, toonie or open bar options available.
Party with us
No rentals needed here! The Common is equipped with a top of the line sound system, lighting, disco ball and microphones. DJs can be supplied for an additional fee.
The Common is an 18+, no minors allowed establishment.

Entire Space
Closed to the public for the day or night - available Sunday-Thursday, minimum spending requirement $4,000 Monday-Thursday, $5000 Sunday - accommodates up to 150ppl.
North & Center Rooms
Available Tuesday-Thursday day or night; minimum spending requirement $1,500 Tuesday & $2,000 Wednesday/Thursday- accommodates up to 100 people.
South Room
Available Tuesday-Thursday + Friday & Saturday day or night; minimum spending requirement $800 Tuesday, $1,200 Wednesday/Thursday, or $2,500 Friday & Saturday *available privately until 9:30pm Friday & Saturday- guests can stay as long as they like after open to the public- accommodates up to 75 people.

Separate entrance located directly below the Common- available Tuesday-Thursday day or night for a minimum spending requirement $800, Friday & Saturday for a minimum spending requirement or $4500 all night, or $1200 until 10pm & Sunday for minimum spending requirement $3,000 for up to 6 hours any time - accommodates up to 125 people. *Please note venue is not wheelchair accessible.
Policies

An 20% service gratuity is placed on all bookings; minimum requirements do not include GST or gratuity
The minimum spending requirement can be met by both food and drink purchases by both the host(s) and guests, If the group cannot meet the spending requirement, a room charge will be added to the bill for the difference.
Private bookings must book for a minimum of 3 hours Monday-Thursday, and 4 hours on Sunday.
A credit card number will be taken when the booking is confirmed and a non - refundable deposit of 25% of the minimum will be invoiced (will be subtracted from the final bill). A $150 coordination fee applies to all weddings and receptions. Please email us for our cancelation policy.
